– 【From counselor】 —————–

This is Ishihara from the consultation room. Two months have already passed since the start of the new fiscal year, while measures to prevent coronavirus infection are being implemented. I think it is a time when you will be feeling sick and tired of your self-restrained life. Is there any change for you? The consultation room tries to hold all interviews on the web as much as possible from the end of April. In addition, if there are circumstances such as a poor communication environment, we arrange a hygiene environment to the extent possible and then hold an interview in the off-campus counseling room. The content of the consultation varies, but I feel that the influence of this self-restraining life is starting to appear more or less to everyone. One is a pattern in which people are tired of so-called self-restraint and are less cautious about crisis management. You can understand how you feel, but I would like you to revisit infection prevention measures and regulate your life. The other is the pattern of having stress due to excessive infection prevention awareness. I’ve learned quite a lot about coronaviruses, but I don’t see the right answer to the question of how I can completely prevent the infection, or how long will this situation last, and I’m just going to get in touch with people. In the current situation where it is repeated to reduce 80%, unfocused stress tends to accumulate. In addition, if you have to do your life, research, or job hunting in an environment and conditions that are far from the past, you may be more anxious or pessimistic. Resolving such anxiety is not easy, but let’s focus on what we can do now. In addition to infection prevention measures, (1) Going out of the crowd and talking with friends on SNS etc. These may be modest but they can change your mind. In addition, (2) do not excessively contact the information related to coronaviruses on TV or the Internet and do not take that information for granted, and (3) monitor your own health condition. I would like to have you. Those who live alone, especially, tend to unknowingly strengthen their sense of isolation, so be careful. Listening to the story in the consultation room, even if it is a trivial matter. Please feel free to contact us if necessary.
